Dreams is a therapeutic creative arts program for children and their parents who have experienced/witnessed domestic violence.

Supervision:

Consistent Attendance: Attend supervision consistently, document sessions, and embrace feedback for personal and professional growth.

Clinical Excellence:

Engagement and Assessment: Respond to intake requests promptly, accurately assess client needs, and participate in intake reviews.
Treatment Planning: Develop client-centric treatment plans, contract with clients, and re-evaluate progress regularly.
Clinical Interventions: Utilize appropriate interventions, including creative arts therapies, to address diverse client needs.
Documentation: Complete all required documentation accurately and within Electronic Health Record guidelines.

Specifications:

Education/Certification: Master’s in Creative Arts Therapies, Social Work, or equivalent field, with relevant state licensure/certification.
Experience: Two years in mental health, experience with diverse populations, and knowledge of domestic violence dynamics.
Training: Completion of 40 hours of domestic violence training mandated by the State of NJ upon hire.
Knowledge: Psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, community resources, and clinical interventions.

Skills and Abilities:

Biopsychosocial assessments, differential diagnosis, and therapeutic engagement.
Mobilize strengths, provide assistance in obtaining services, and create case formulations.
Assess abuse and neglect, work with resistant consumers, and maintain strong communication skills.

Professional Characteristics:

Open, warm, empathic, ethical, creative, organized, flexible, and dedicated.
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and seek continuous improvement.

Work Environment:

Physical demands may include standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
